Happy Birthday, Mom & A GIVEAWAY

Thank you all for the birthday wishes for my Mom!  We had such a great day together: we met at Southpoint mall, had a delicious lunch with the BF, and proceeded to spend out entire allotted shopping time in Anthropologie.  I wanted to share a collage of pictures of my Mom in honor of her birthday yesterday!

My mom went to Africa at the end of this Summer for 2 weeks.  She went through her church on a sort of mission trip.  You see, her church supports Amani Beads which are beautiful clay beads created by women in Africa.  Any imperfect beads get sent back to the church, the ladies (led in part by my Mom) create jewelry and other things with these beads, and then 100% of the proceeds go back to orphanages in Africa.
