Vintage Ladylike

Most recent thrifted purchase?  This beautiful and on-trend pencil midi skirt!
Vintage pencil midi - thrifted, BB ($5)
Express button down - FC ($7)
Frye wedges - FC ($22)
Vintage LV - handed down from Mom
Multi strand necklace - FC

Mid-length skirts have been huge this year.  We saw flirty, flowy ones in the Spring; and now for Fall, rich, textured pencil midis are it!  Shorter girls should be careful with mid length skirts as you risk cutting your legs off and making them look even shorter.  Keep it simple, match your tights to your shoes, or wear nude pumps or wedges to elongate your legs.  If all else fails, be confident!  In my opinion, if you are confident in what you are wearing, you can get away with any trend no matter what your size!

About my outfit:  I designed this outfit around my new skirt which has so many different colors in such a unique textured pattern that I decided to just keep it simple.  I paired it with a semi-sheer button down and added my tri-layer gold necklace on top.  Black wedges tied it all together and I thew my hair in a bun on top of my head, grabbing my hand-held Louis Vuitton to finish off this lady-like look.

I'm linking up to Spunky Chateau and Thrifters Anonymous with this one so go check out all the other lovely ladies and their thrifted finds!

Would you wear a pencil midi?

This definitely looks amazing! Love how you kept everything else simple to let the skirt be the centerpiece. Good tips for wearing a midi skirt too :)

very simple but charming outfit. The skirt is very sweet with the little colorful print designs. Your mary jane shoes are the highlight.

Love the blouseyness of the blouse! I really don't think I could pull off a pencil midi, or even a midi, or even a pencil! Can you help me figure out how a girl with a few more curves can wear a form fitting pencil? Thank, love!

You are super cute and stylish and I appreciate your midi tips. I'm 5'5", but am determined to rock this length at some point soon. What you said about confidence goes with my style motto: "if you rock it like it's hot, it's hot!" I look forward to following you:-)
